Giant Tall Hairgrass - Eleocharis Montevidensis

This plant is commonly known as Tall Hairgrass or Giant Hairgrass and is a popular plant among planted aquarium enthusiasts because of its long thin leaves that can easily rise to the top of most aquariums. Some aquarists use this plant as an alternative to Vallisnerias or use them in conjunction to provide a green background to a planted tank. This plant can grow up to 18″ but it can be trimmed as needed to fit a tank.  This plant propagates through runners and can also be grown emersed.

Below is a video on how to properly plant them in an aquarium.
